When: Fridays 9am-Noon (Prairie Friday)
Hands on volunteer prairie restoration, wildlife monitoring and trail maintenance.

When: 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month 8:30-Noon (Stewardship Sat.)
Hands on volunteer habitat restoration, marsh restoration, prairie restoration, wildlife monitoring and trail maintenance.

When: 3rd Monday of the month, 9am-Noon
We will meet monthly to attempt to establish a prairie at the northwest part of the park. We will make seed balls, sprig and plant young seedlings in the prairie. We will do much of the work in the open shelter near the site.

Many opportunities are available. Choose from educational or stewardship activities. Work-days are held as needed,. Volunteers are always needed to staff the Nature Center, lead bird, beach or marsh walks as well as school field trips. Special training is provided and you will work with an experienced partner.

Reitan Point

I-45 South Exit 6

When: 2nd & 4th Mondays
Please come and join “Pioneers of the Prairie” at Reitan Point off of I-45 South Exit 6 as we work to restore and enhance this section of the O’Quinn Corridor. Hands on prairie restoration, wildlife monitoring and trail maintenance will be part of this project.
