 Texas Cooperative Extension keeps pace with changing times, a changing Texas, and the changing needs of Texans.
Extension Agents in Texas communities provide educational programs and opportunities in the following areas:
  • Agriculture and natural resources
  • Family and consumer sciences
  • 4-H and youth development
  • Community and economic development
Texas Parks and Wildlife (TPWD) is responsible for:
  • Managing and conserving the natural and cultural resources of Texas
  • Providing hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations
Texas Sea Grant

marine-related research. Sea Grant also features
an outreach component; in Texas, this component
includes the Marine Advisory Service and the
Marine Information Service.
